The staff are one
of the most important assets of a nursery as they play
such a key role in the children’s lives. We are very
proud to say that some members of staff have worked at
ladybird for many years. The overall manager has been
with ladybird since 1993. The Montessori manager has
been with ladybird since 2003. Other members of the
ladybird team have been with us for many years.
Our nursery is run
by qualified and experienced staff. We operate a key
worker system, which gives each member of staff
responsibility for just a few children. Each child in
the group has one special adult to relate to, which
makes settling into the group much easier. In addition
the key worker is in a position to monitor the progress
and tailor the curriculum needs of each child. The key
worker maintains links with the child’s home setting,
working with parents through shared record keeping to
ensure that all children are supported in reaching their
full potential. Also, all of our staff have continuous
in-service training to further their knowledge of early
childhood development.
Cover staff - when
the permanent staff are away we use our own bank of
cover staff (many of whom are previous Ladybird
employee’s).
All of our staff
are CRB checked (including cover staff).
Parent/nursery
partnership - we encourage all of our parents to take
part in weekly activities with the children i.e.
reading, cooking, dancing etc. We understand that your
time is precious but these activities have proved to be
great fun and very rewarding.
